KPMI® Engineers design our tappets using Finite Element Stress Analysis (FEA) software. This software allows our engineers to lighten the tappets without
sacri昀椀cing strength so we can create the strongest, lightest tappets possible. These tappets are machined from aircraft quality solid steel bar stock. They undergo
a proprietary heat treat process that creates a hard surface and a non brittle-core, maximizing toughness and wear resistance. Kibblewhite® tappets are run in
high performance automotive and motorcycle applications including Motocross, Flat Track, Road Race, Drag Race, and Land Speed Racing at the Bonneville Salt

"Shim in Tappet" valve spring kits provide a solution to the common ovaling of retainers and shim spitting in higher performance applications. By locating the
shim in the heat treated steel tappet instead of the titanium retainer, wear is greatly reduced, and reliability is increased. These tappets were designed and
analyzed using the same Finite Element Analysis software used in the development of our valves in order to maintain the same strength and mass as our high
performance traditional tappet/retainer system.
